About Melissa, LAMFT (she/her)

As a therapist, I offer a space where you can explore the deeper layers of your experiences — where we move beyond immediate coping mechanisms to engage with the underlying emotional truths that shape your internal world. While adaptive strategies can offer temporary relief, enduring change often emerges from understanding the unconscious roots of your struggles—those shaped by early relational experiences, internal conflicts, and patterns that repeat outside of conscious awareness.

I believe that healing doesn’t always have to be heavy. While we’ll tackle the tough stuff, I also use a touch of humor to help lighten the load and create a space where you can feel at ease. Humor has a way of breaking down walls, offering perspective, and reminding us of our shared humanity. I find it important to provide a balance of deep exploration and moments of levity to support your growth and self-discovery.

I integrate a variety of evidence-based modalities into my practice, mainly pulling from Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytical Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Collaborative Theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Feminist Theory, and Internal Family Systems. I strive to create a collaborative and holistic process that honors all aspects of who you are.
